[00:00:01] Hi there, it's Laura. It is time for another Hope Cast and it's an addendum to the accidents Happen podcast, Hope Cast that happened yesterday. So my daughter was in a head on collision, was not her fault.
[00:00:16] Both vehicles completely destroyed and totaled. My daughter walked away without a scratch. Now she does have to deal with, you know, whiplash, but other than that, she's good and God's gonna lead her to the right vehicle that she needs to be driving. But I didn't tell this part of the story.
[00:00:38] The cop that was assigned to our case, he had just driven into his driveway. He was done with work for the day and he got the call and he took the call and he showed up and he's dealing with everything. And he came up to see if there's anything else that needed to be done. And my daughter Hosanna, who, she and her husband are youth pastors at their church, asked if there was anything that we could be praying for him about.
[00:01:07] You should have seen the smile. And his eyes just brighten up and he's like, wow, well, in this job I need all the prayers I can get.
[00:01:19] Which I'm like, yeah, I'm sure that's true.
[00:01:23] And said, you're not going to believe this, but I was just baptized on Sunday and it was in a church that we knew, great church with great people. We have friends that go there.
[00:01:35] And he was baptized in a river.
[00:01:39] It was just incredible. He was so excited. He had to run to his car and come back and show us the video of him being baptized this past Sunday. We were fist pumping and high fiving and just laughing at the goodness of our God. PR providing this policeman to be there for my daughter in the midst of this accident, just caring for her needs.
[00:02:02] And he just felt God's presence, His. His pleasure.
[00:02:08] It was just like God was setting him up too, along with my daughter and our family, setting him up, saying, right time, right place, I've got you. People are praying for you. I've got your back.
[00:02:20] And he was just so thankful.
[00:02:24] So it makes me think of that verse in Psalm 37 that says, the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. That ordered is directed and prepared. God's preparing your steps. It's not because of your goodness, it's because of his goodness.
[00:02:44] A good man is a righteous man. A person that follows Jesus is made righteous not because of what we've done, but because of what he's done on that cross.
[00:02:53] So just know your steps are ordered too. And you are so, so very loved.
