[00:00:01] Hi there. It's Laura.
[00:00:03] Got a Hope cast for tonight, one I did not expect to be making.
[00:00:10] My daughter was in an accident and got that call.
[00:00:18] And immediately you run, right?
[00:00:23] I'm coming from one direction. My husband's in another direction. Her husband's in another direction. We're all converging upon the accident site, which was actually about 25 minutes from home. I was at VBS. I was serving at a table and got that call and just. It's like, I'm sorry. Out of here.
[00:00:41] And didn't know how she was.
[00:00:46] Didn't know what was.
[00:00:48] What we were going to find.
[00:00:50] Obviously, you immediately start praying.
[00:00:54] You know, it's crazy. On the way to the accident site, I passed by a funeral home and the parking lot was packed.
[00:01:07] And I just started weeping because I knew. I knew that was not going to be the end result of this.
[00:01:14] By that time, had received a phone call or a text from my daughter with pictures of her car being totaled. It was the other guy's fault. Didn't give the right away. And just. Mom. I was just screaming out Jesus's name as she was hitting the brakes.
[00:01:36] I'm so thankful that we have the promise in His Word that His favor surrounds us as a shield.
[00:01:44] And accidents and things do happen, they go wrong. There are troubles in our life.
[00:01:52] But I'm so thankful that Jesus says, I have overcome them all. You don't have to be worried about this. You don't need to be anxious about this or concerned about this. Throw this concern on me, that's what he says, because I want to carry it for you. You're not going to be able to carry this on your own.
[00:02:08] I think that's why people get burned out.
[00:02:11] They walk away from things that they've just taken on too much weight on their shoulders. They've taken too much responsibility.
[00:02:19] They've taken too much of other people's problems on them.
[00:02:25] They just can't handle it. We're not built to handle it.
[00:02:28] And I'm so thankful that Jesus carried this for us. I'm thankful that my daughter is.
[00:02:36] She's got some stomach pain. She's definitely got whiplash that's going on. And her car is totaled, as is the person that hit her. But she's. She's okay.
[00:02:50] Thank you, Jesus.
[00:02:54] I'm so thankful that we can count on his word and his promises in Psalm 91 and that my daughter dwells in the secret place of the Most High and she can run into him and find her safety and her refuge, and that she calls on him in the midst of trouble and that he covers my daughter. He takes care of her. He loves her more than I could ever, which I can't even imagine that type of love as a parent, that he would love us more than an earthly love like that.
[00:03:29] So that just gives me such great gratitude.
[00:03:34] He cares for her so much more and he's gonna make this better than it was before, that she's going to have a better vehicle than she had before, that her body is going to heal to a place that it's better conditioned than it was before.
[00:03:48] And he will do exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond all that we can ask, think, dream or imagine with a story and a testimony that comes out of this, this accident.
[00:04:03] The enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy.
[00:04:06] But Jesus, what did he say? He not only came to give life, but more abundant life.
[00:04:14] And as his, as his church, as his body, as being a king's kid.
[00:04:21] He takes care of his kids.
[00:04:24] Trust him.
[00:04:25] And it says in Romans 15:13 that the God of hope will fill you with all peace and joy. As you trust in him, you will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. I overflow with hope tonight because I trust him.
[00:04:47] And I will never move off of that platform ever.
[00:04:51] Ever. I've seen too many things happen in my life where I should not be here, I should be dead, I should be in the ground.
[00:04:58] The enemy's tried to take me out too many times because the mantle and the talent and the giftings that he's put in me to share hope with this world, the enemy doesn't like.
[00:05:09] So, yeah, there's a target.
[00:05:11] But Jesus, Jesus says every weapon that's formed against you and me will not prosper, will not come to fruition, that it will fall flat. I've got that shield of faith up. I've got that favor as a shield that protects me and my family.
[00:05:27] Thank you, Lord.
[00:05:29] Just hope that encourages you tonight.
[00:05:32] You can stand on his promises, on his word concerning you and your kids.
[00:05:38] You're so loved.
[00:05:40] Thank you.
